Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Distinguished Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman, who has numerous papers and awards to her credit she is also the winner of numerous international and national distinctions. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
